Launched in 2006, VU is a brand that specialises in manufacturing premium televisions at an affordable price. A company with American roots, VU is headed by an Indian and is headquartered in Mumbai with the only catch being that the manufacturing units are in China.
VU has despite the lockdown, managed to sell more than 50,000 4K television sets. Although the company is dependent on China for its supplies, the CEO states that the sets come not only from China but other countries as well. The company aims to establish a local manufacturing unit in the near future.
