Established in 1897, the Godrej Group has its roots in India’s independence and Swadeshi movement. The company that grew as a locks business is today a large conglomerate that’s headquartered in Mumbai, and managed by the Godrej family. Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. is one of the largest players in the consumer electronics space in India and was also the first Indian company to manufacture refrigerators.
